Mr.
Garrett was born in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Southern
Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He also graduated
from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence
Degree (with Honors). Southwestern Law Journal, Order of Barristers,
Phi Delta Phi, Pi Sigma Alpha and Alpha Epsilon Rho.
Professional
Mr. Garrett is President of Law, Snakard & Gambill and is
head of the Real Estate, Banking, and Oil and Gas Section of Law, Snakard
& Gambill. He is involved primarily in representing financial
institutions and real estate developers. He was a speaker for
Real Estate Contracts Institute in 1982, the author of Title and Survey
Examination for the 1983 State Bar Institute, a speaker for Pesky Problems
in Real Estate for the 1983 Real Estate Institute, a speaker for the
1984 Texas Banker's Association Real Estate and Mortgage Loan Workshop;
a speaker for the 1986 Texas Real Estate Transactions Seminar, a member
of the State Bar of Texas Advanced Real Estate Law Planning Committees
for 1986, 1988, and 1990 State Bar Advanced Real Estate Law Seminars,
a member of the State Bar of Texas 1990 Advanced Real Estate Drafting
Course Planning Committee, author and speaker at the 1994 Blackstone
Seminar ("Assignment of Real Estate Notes and Liens"), a past
co-chairman of the Fort Worth Real Estate and Commercial Law Council,
a member of the 1994 State Bar Association Committee on Opinion Letters
in Real Estate Transactions, a member of the State Bar Association Subcommittee
on Legal Fees in Real Estate Transactions, a member of the State Bar
Association Constitutional Revision Committee, and a member of the Fort
Worth Tarrant County Bar Association Program Committee. Mr. Garrett
is a member of the Texas Academy of Real Estate, Probate and Trust Lawyers
and the Texas Bar Foundation.

Mr. Garrett has served as a member of the Board of Directors

Association. He has served as secretary and a member of the
Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Downtown Fort Worth, Inc.,
he was President of Mira Vista Country Club;
he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Southern Methodist
University Alumni Association; Chairman of Board of Trustees of Westcliff United Methodist Church, former Member Board of Trustees
University Baptist Church; former Chairman of Finance Committee,
University Baptist Church; former member of Board of Directors of
Tarrant County Better Business Bureau
