Personal-Educational
Mr.
Huddleston was born in Brownwood, Texas, and graduated from Early High
School. He graduated from Howard Payne University with a Bachelor
of Arts Degree (with Honors) and from Texas Tech University with a Master
of Arts Degree. Mr. Huddleston is a member of various honor societies
including Blue Key, Alpha Chi, Gamma Beta Phi, Phi Delta Phi and Phi
Kappa Phi. He also graduated from Texas Tech University School
of Law in 1979 with a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree (with Honors).
Mr. Huddleston was a member of the Texas Tech Law Review and published
three articles. Mr. Huddleston was also elected to the Order of
the Coif at Texas Tech University and received the Edwin Moss Trial
Advocacy Award among other awards. Mr. Huddleston has been
selected by his peers as a top lawyer in Tarrant County numerous times.
Mr. Huddleston has also been selected as a Texas Super Lawyer by
Texas Monthly several times. Mr. Huddleston is a third degree
black belt in karate and is an instructor at The Karate University.
Professional
Mr. Huddleston tries lawsuits. He engages in commercial
litigation with emphasis on condemnation, land title, real estate,
Uniform Commercial Code, accounting malpractice, legal malpractice,
medical malpractice, engineering malpractice, corporate, banking, and
partnership matters. He also engages in some personal injury
litigation which includes insurance defense work. Mr. Huddleston
is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association and the Parker County
Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in all state courts,
the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the U.S.
District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the U.S. District
Court for the Western District of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the
Eastern District of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Southern
District of Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals,
the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Service to Community
Mr. Huddleston has served as trustee on the Board of Education
for Springtown Independent School District for over ten years,
served as a deacon in the First Baptist Church for approximately ten
years, and served on the Industrial Development Board for three years.
Mr. Huddleston coaches several YMCA youth sports teams and Lions Club
sports teams.
